J & K in Colchester have been pet sitting with Essex Petsitters since day one. So this makes them one of our most popular sitters!
The whole family likes to get involved with pet care, including K’s mum, who lives in a self contained part of the family home and regularly shares her lap with a little dog who wants a cuddle.
As well as having a lovely comfortable and safe home with a large garden – they are ideally situated in a rural location, meaning that country walks, fresh air and lots of exercise are on the schedule on a daily basis.
J works from home, and usually shares his office with a canine companion – so there is plenty of company available throughout the day.
All of our pet sitters are dedicated and committed to animals – and this is our single most important criteria. We also like them to have had a lifelong experience of dogs.
Our sitters choose to be pet sitters for a variety of reasons. Some have lost their own family pet, and miss the walking and companionship that owning a dog brings and this gap can be filled by offering a loving holiday home to other dogs. Others work from home, and maybe cannot have the tie of a full time dog of their own, but they can provide lots of love and attention for visiting dogs, and get a welcome a break from their desk at walk times.
